Coval Matting Agent is a high-purity pyrogenic silica engineered to modify the surface texture of Coval coatings, delivering a uniform matte or low-gloss finish. By altering the surface microstructure, the matting agent increases light diffusion and reduces reflectivity without compromising the integrity of the coating. In addition to its aesthetic function, Coval Matting Agent enhances surface performance by increasing the dynamic coefficient of friction, making it particularly effective for flooring applications where slip resistance is critical, especially in areas prone to moisture or wet conditions. Coval Matting Agent is supplied as a dry additive and is designed to be easily integrated into Coval’s line of coatings at the point of application. Its ultra-fine, low-density particles allow for precise adjustment of finish characteristics, supporting both safety and design goals.
